Computable Euclid

Euclid's Elements

The Elements was long the world’s foremost non-religious book. That changed with the development of alternatives to the parallel postulate (spherical and hyperbolic geometry), algebra, trigonometry, coordinate systems and calculus. Although Euclid gives a good start, many of the proposition are considered less important than later concepts like the base-10 number system.
