Gamelan Tuning vs 12 Tone Equal Temperament

This is where I try to find a good way to visualize the difference in intervals between notes in gamelan tunings and western (12 tone equal temperament)
NumberLinePlot seems good, but 12TET is logarithmic, so you can't really see the... equality of the intervals.

Instrument Data

Semara Dana (Pelog)

Gangsa Pemade

Lower Octave (from UIUC: 2 3 5 6 | 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 | 1)
Out[]=
(M)
(F)
12TET (red = C)
Main/Upper Octaves (from UIUC: 2 3 5 6 | 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 | 1)
Out[]=
(M)
(F)
12TET (red = C)

Jublag

(from UIUC)
Out[]=
(M)
(F)
12TET (red = C)

Angklung (Slendro)

Gangsa Pemade

(Male and Female from UIUC and practice instrument from Mekar Bhuana)
Out[]=
MB
UIUC(M)
UIUC(F)
12TET (G,A,B,D)
I'm not sure what's going on with the UIUC gangsas - the 1 and 3 keys were identical on both instruments.

Notes

◼
  • I got the frequencies for 12 TET using freeform input (built-in wolfram|alpha)
  • ◼
  • I got the frequencies for the instruments from a tuner app on my phone (only accurate to one decimal place)
  • NOTES ETC
