Mill is a 2000-year-old Roman game. The game has two phases. The players start with nine men each (red and yellow). Whenever a player makes a mill (three in a row along a white line), that player takes one of their opponent's men off the board (unless they are in a mill, except if there are no other men available). A player loses when reduced to fewer than three men or stuck for a move.
In phase 1, the two players alternate in placing men at the white dots. In phase 2, the men can be moved along a line to an adjacent place.
