This Demonstration shows absolute depth from your choice of pursuit rate and motion/pursuit ratio for the case of a fixate and distractor on the

y

axis and an observer moving at 6.5 cm/sec (interocular distance per second) to the right on the

x

axis. The retinal motion rate of "Speed, Motion, Pursuit, and Depth (Visual Depth Perception 15)" is the geometric input, but experiments show that the brain uses the motion/pursuit ratio, so this Demonstration allows you to vary that quantity directly.
