This Demonstration solves the system of linear equations given in the pane. Its size can be 2, 3, or 4. Set the elements (the real and uncertain parts) of the matrix and the right-hand side (rhs) vector for all the rows and columns by using the "value" slider.
The slider intervals for the real
x
and uncertain
Δx
parts of the uncertain number
x±Δx
are
[-1,1]
and
[0,1]
, respectively. These values are multiplied by
n
10
, where
n
ranges from -5 to 5. The slider jump is
-p
10
, where
p
ranges from 1 to 6.
Clicking the "nothing" alternative lets you position the row and column and adjust
n
and
p
without changing the real part or uncertain part of an entry.
