Ten rhombic hexecontahedra (RH), each consisting of 20 prolate golden rhombohedra (prGR), are joined in a ring. The adjacent RHs have a common prGR, so the total number of prGRs in the ring is
10×20-10=190
. This Demonstration shows a few examples of the many possible structures that can be built on the ring of the 10 common prGRs. The abbreviations are: rh=rhombic hexecontahedron, ico=icosohedron, rt=rhombic triacontahedron, and tico=truncated icosohedron.
