Dabei erhält man eine Familie binärer Diagnosetests, die alle unterschiedliche Sensitivität und Spezifität haben. Die Paare (Sensitivität, 1Spezifität) bilden die ROC-Kurve.

Receiver Operating Characteristic (ROC) curves can show the critical threshold for positive test results in quantitative diagnostic tests. These consist of a family of binary diagnostic tests of differing sensitivity and specificity. The pairs (sensitivity, 1-specificity) determine the ROC curves.
