WOLFRAM|DEMONSTRATIONS PROJECT

Operation of a Memristor

time [s]
0.001
This Demonstration shows the change of the breadth variable
w(t)
in a memristive device. The period of the AC voltage applied is arbitrarily chosen as 1 second. Parameters have been chosen to create the hysteresis behavior in the corresponding I-V curve. A simplified equivalent circuit is also shown where arrows short the two variable resistors, providing resistance values between
R
on
and
R
off
according to the interface motion.
