The opacity of a graphics object is represented by a number between 0 (invisible) and 1 (opaque). Use this Demonstration to explore the effect of opacity on overlapping objects of different colors in two-dimensional graphics. The disks are originally layered in the order 1 (bottom), 2, 3, 4 (top). This can be changed using the "layering" control.
