n-Digitaddition
n-Digitaddition
Start with a number, say 39. Add its digits () and repeat. This process, called digitaddition, quickly produces fixed points. An extension to this idea, called n-digitaddition, raises each digit to a power before adding them together. For instance, the 2-digitaddition sequence of 39 is +=9+81=90, and so on.
