Linked Torus Knots
Linked Torus Knots
Torus knots are defined by the number of times they wind around the axis of the torus and around its core (i.e., its interior). Coprime winding numbers give simple torus knots. Noncoprime winding numbers can be interpreted as links of simple torus knots, where is the greatest common divisor of the winding numbers. Explore the effects of embedding the knot on tori with modified radii.
