Jefferson National Expansion Memorial
Three catenary curves are connected with polygons to form an arch with a triangular cross section. This is essentially the geometry of the 630-foot-tall (192 m) Jefferson National Expansion Memorial (sometimes called the Gateway Arch or The Arch) in St. Louis, Missouri. When two such arches are placed side-by-side, their appearance is very similar to McDonald's logo.
