Hinged Dissections: From Three Squares to One

Henry Perigal (1873) discovered a 5-piece hinged dissection of two squares to one. This Demonstration shows two applications of his method applied to three squares. You can vary the sizes of the larger and smaller squares and go back and forth between the original three squares and the final one.
