Golden Octet Truss
Golden Octet Truss
A golden octet truss (GOT) consists of one tetrahedral part and one octahedral part of a golden rhombohedron. GOTs can be placed side by side to form a planar lattice as well as icosahedral lattice. In this way, planar and icosahedral structures made of GOT can be blended easily in common structures. The planar lattice is shaped like a rhombus. Such planar lattices can be joined in two different ways depending on which of the vertices of the rhombus is selected as a center (flip). The icosahedral part can be separated to show the interfaces (elevate). You can also vary the frequency of the parts (frequency), and can open the planar lattices (open structure).
