Generalized Mobile Automata
Generalized Mobile Automata
A generalized mobile automaton starts with an active cell. Depending on the color of that cell and its nearest neighbors, it chooses a color for the active cell on the next step, as well as whether the active cell will move to the left, right, or straight down, or if it will split into two parts, three parts, or disappear completely.
There are a total of possible rules for a two-color generalized mobile automaton. To allow all possibilities, we use two sliders, each ranging from 0 to -1. The rule number overall is calculated as (rule high part) * + (rule low part).
