Twelve rings of ten spheres each are arranged in a cluster of 120 spheres. Each ring is parallel to one of the faces of a dodecahedron. When the rings are moved toward the origin, pairs of spheres coincide to form various clusters of 60 spheres; one such is close to the geometry of the C60 molecule, but the spheres sit at the vertices of a small rhombicosidodecahedron instead of a truncated icosahedron. A cluster of 30 spheres is formed when all the rings are at the origin. A center sphere with adjustable size is included to enhance the view.
