Degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit are the most common measures of temperature.
Let C and F represent the same temperature in each of those scales.
The relationship between the two is
F = 32 + 9/5 × C
C = 5/9 × (F - 32)
Because 9/5 is close to 10/5 = 2, these can be converted easily using
F ≈ 32 + 2 ×C
C ≈ 1/2 × (F - 32)
