This Demonstration shows a three-dimensional representation of the visible colors in
xyY
space. The colors are mapped to various RGB working spaces. The
x
and
y
coordinates represent chromaticity (the difference between red, green, and blue), while the
Y
(vertical) coordinate represents brightness. Thus, the set of all possible points in
xyY
space represents all possible hues and brightnesses.
