The London Tower Bridge, built between 1886 and 1894, is a combination of bascule and suspension that crosses the river Thames in London.
This Demonstration shows how the Tower Bridge is raised from the river to the top, where you can appreciate all the shapes that make up the bridge. Also, you can lift both bascules to allow boats to navigate along the river.
