Adiabatic Mixing of Two Moist Air Streams
Adiabatic Mixing of Two Moist Air Streams
Two moist inlet air streams are mixed adiabatically. This Demonstration uses mass and energy balance equations to determine the outlet air stream. You can set the dry-bulb and wet-bulb temperatures of the first inlet stream and the dry-bulb temperature and relative humidity of the second inlet stream. You can change the values of the volumetric flow rates of the inlet air streams. The "psychrometric data" button shows a chart with all the relevant thermal parameters for the two inlet air streams and the outlet air stream. "DA" refers to dry air. The data includes the dry-bulb, wet-bulb and dew point temperatures expressed in , the relative humidity in , the absolute humidity or moisture content in , the humid volume in kgDA and the specific enthalpy in .
