Random Samples and Random Permutations
Random Samples and Random Permutations
This very simple Demonstration is intended for its usefulness to instructors and students in elementary statistics to replace the use of random number tables.
In survey sampling, a simple random sample of size from a population of size is a random subset such that each element is a distinct member of the population and every subset of size occurs with probability . Sometimes the term "sampling without replacement" is used.
