Boiling Point of Water on Several Planets

planet
The boiling point is the temperature at which the vapor pressure is equal to the atmospheric pressure. This Demonstration shows the boiling temperature of water on six planets, all of which have different atmospheric pressures. The red line shows the atmospheric pressure of the selected planet. The blue line shows the vapor pressure of water as a function of temperature.
