The Lotka–Volterra model describing two species with possible competitive interaction is demonstrated by using the built-in Mathematica function RecurrenceTable. This enables expression of the coupled quadratic nonlinear differential equations in discrete difference equation form. This might facilitate writing code in other languages for more extensive calculations.
