The Alexander Polynomial of a Knot
This Demonstration computes the Alexander polynomial of an interactively drawn knot and attempts to find knots with the same invariant in the database. When drawing a knot, Alt+Click adds or removes locators and the corresponding line segment or inserts or removes a locator on an existing line segment. Clicking a double point toggles the double point.
