Hi!

Let' s create a simple animation (in M12.2) with a point moving up
In[]:=
a=Animate[ListPlot[{{1/2,x}},PlotRange{{0,1},{0,3/2}},PlotStylePointSize[0.03]],{x,0,1}]
Out[]=
x

0.2
0.4

0.8
1.0

and export it to a gif file
In[]:=
Export[NotebookDirectory[]<>"a.gif",a]
In the gif file we can see that the point moves up and down, that is the animation played forward and backward. Why? How can I create a file without the second part of the animation?
