The stella octangula (or stellated tetrahedron) is a compound of two tetrahedra. It can be interpreted as the stellation of a regular octahedron or as eight tetrahedra placed on the faces of an octahedron. Notice how its edges coincide with the twelve face diagonals of a cube.
