Interaction between two Electrons: from Spin dynamics theory to visualization
Interaction between two Electrons: from Spin dynamics theory to visualization
Keywords : Electron Spin; Poincaré invariant interaction; electron collision simulator; elementary particle; Spinning Particle model; classical Dirac particle; electron dynamic simulation; zitterbewegung; Larmor angular velocity; bound state; Cooper pair.
This notebook reproduces, extends the explanations and provides the working code for the simulations of the article [7] J . Barandiaran and M . Rivas (2025) Poincaré invariant interaction of two Dirac particles.
We will observe that the Spinning Particle model, while simple in design, accounts for a vast spectrum of complex phenomena:
- The interactions between two particles are chaotic, extremely sensitive to something as uncontrollable as the phase of the particles as can be seen in the GIF below. The system’s sensitivity to initial conditions renders its outputs effectively probabilistic, despite the underlying deterministic framework.
- The electric repulsion between the electrons can even produce stable bound states if the spins are aligned and the particles are sufficiently close
