A 3D STL printable file is generated for this animation device for showing the Sun’s corona during one rotation. The A171 Angstrom images are downloaded to show the Sun quiet corona and transition region for plasma at about 600,000K.
There 12 images space 48 hrs apart and hence one rotation of the praxinoscope is about one solar day. The actual solar rotation period depends the solar latitude.
The 12 mirrors need to be cut and placed on the center column. The praxinoscope can be placed on a vinyl record player turntable to allow it turn.
Twelve SDO/ AIA 171A Solar Images ever other day starting at 12-14-2025 (Full size image attached in the comments to be used in the code)
Note: These images need to be reflected since the will be seen via mirrors.
Using the above data form one can request A171 data from Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) for the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) software date base at Lockheed Martin Solar and Astrophysics Laboratory, LMSAL ( https://www.lmsal.com/get_aia_data/ )
