Solar and Sidereal Days 2D
The blue disk represents the Earth and the red disk represents where you are on the Earth. Whenever the red disk passes over the orange line that points to the distant star, the next sidereal day has begun. Whenever the red disk next to the Earth is over the orange line that points to the Sun, the next solar day has begun.
