In this paper we study the Birkhoff Normal Form around elliptic periodic points for a variety of dynamical billiards. We give an explicit construction of the Birkhoff transformation and obtain explicit formulas for the first two twist coefficients in terms of the geometric parameters of the billiard table. As an application, we obtain characterizations of the nonlinear stability and local analytic integrability of the billiards around the elliptic periodic points.
Introduction
Introduction
Part 1 Symmetric billiards can be viewed as a special case of Part 2 Asymmetric billiards. The functions in Part 1 are redefined in Part 2. Evaluating the whole notebook would allow functions in Part 2 to override the functions in part 1.
To find the twist coefficients of symmetric billiards, please only evaluate Part 1. This part is used in Section 3 and Section 4 of the aforementioned paper.
To find the twist coefficients of asymmetric billiards, please only evaluate Part 2. This part is used in Section 5 of the aforementioned paper.
Part 3 is independent Part 1 and Part 2. It shows how to find the unknown polynomials under the Ansatz of formulation of . See Equation (5.12) Section 5 of the aforementioned paper.
