Computing Equivalence Ratio in Co-Gasification of Two Biomasses
Housam Binous

We consider olive pomace + grape pomace gasification (or biomass co-gasification) in the presence of oxygen or air (gasifying agent).

Here, we determine the Equivalence Ratio (ER) when we feed the gasifier with 1 mol of each one of the two biomasses and 1 mol of pure O2 knowing that olive pomace is modeled as a pseudo-compound whose formula is
C
1
H
1.53015
O
0.501421
while grape pomace is modeled as
C
1
H
1.30934
O
0.438956
.

Next, we determine the Equivalence Ratio (ER) when we feed the gasifier with 1 mol of each one of the two biomasses and 5 mol of air.
