Planar Density of Crystallographic Planes in SC, BCC and FCC Crystals
The planar density of atoms in a crystallographic structure can impact the mechanical properties of the material. This Demonstration shows crystallographic planes in a unit cell, with the origin indicated by the green point and the atom locations by the red points. You can choose the lattice type and the , and indices to determine the plane. The planar density is shown in the upper right.
