Van Arkel–Ketelaar Triangle Bond Character Prediction

The van Arkel–Ketelaar triangle describes the bond character between two different elements using the difference of electronegativity and the average of electronegativity.
Use the dropdown menus to select two elements. The blue point shows where the
y
value is the difference in electronegativity and the
x
value is the average of electronegativity. The point will fall within one of the three regions defined on the graph and is labeled with the estimated bond character.
