Consider the set of integers defined by
In[]:=
:=Range[0,-1+17
16
2
]
In principle, the full set of characters in Mathematica should be produced by the command
FromCharacterCode/@
In practice, however, this is not the case. It turns out that there is a non-empty subset ℱ of  for which FromCharacterCode fails, at least for the present version of Mathematica:
In[]:=
$Version
Out[]=
13.2.0 for Mac OS X ARM (64-bit) (November 18, 2022)
In fact, FromCharacterCode works splendidly for the first 55, 295 elements of :
In[]:=
FromCharacterCode/@Range@55295
Out[]=
,,,,,,,\b, ,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
⋯55233⋯
,ퟡ,ퟢ,ퟣ,ퟤ,ퟥ,ퟦ,ퟧ,ퟨ,ퟩ,ퟪ,ퟫ,ퟬ,ퟭ,ퟮ,ퟯ,ퟰ,ퟱ,ퟲ,ퟳ,ퟴ,ퟵ,ퟶ,ퟷ,ퟸ,ퟹ,ퟺ,ퟻ,퟼,퟽,퟾,퟿

However, 55 296 fails :
In[]:=
FromCharacterCode/@Range@55296
Out[]=
,,,,,,,\b, ,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
⋯55234⋯
,ퟢ,ퟣ,ퟤ,ퟥ,ퟦ,ퟧ,ퟨ,ퟩ,ퟪ,ퟫ,ퟬ,ퟭ,ퟮ,ퟯ,ퟰ,ퟱ,ퟲ,ퟳ,ퟴ,ퟵ,ퟶ,ퟷ,ퟸ,ퟹ,ퟺ,ퟻ,퟼,퟽,퟾,퟿,?

Everything is OK at the endpoints :
In[]:=
{First@,Last@}
Out[]=
{0,1114111}
In[]:=
FromCharacterCode/@%
Out[]=
,􏿿
It is clear from the above that FromCharacterCode needs some remedial work, but even so many very interesting characters can still be displayed. Other than the obvious need for repair, it would be very interesting to know if there is a non-excruciating way to find all the elements of ℱ.
