Structure of the Flute

headjoint

The flute is one of the standard modern orchestral musical instruments. This Demonstration shows a disassembly of the flute into its three main components: headjoint, body and foot. The literature of music for flute is quite extensive, with a large number of concerti and chamber works. We present here the first few measures of Mozart's Flute Concerto in G Major, one of the classics of the flute repertoire.
