C80 Fullerene
C80 Fullerene
The C80 fullerene molecule is usually represented as a chamfered dodecahedron (or rhombic triacontahedron truncated at its five-fold vertices). In this Demonstration, you can start chamfering from the dodecahedron and continue to the rhombic triacontahedron. The intermediate configuration corresponds to the geometry of the C80 molecule. You can show spheres with varying sizes at the 80 vertices.
