Triangle Altitude

This Demonstration shows the altitude of a triangle (blue dashed line) from a given vertex
A
.
You can drag two of the triangle's vertices (
A
or
B
) to get any kind of triangle.
A gray dashed line indicates the continuation from the base to the foot of the altitude (this happens when this foot lies outside the triangle).
The length of the altitude is called the triangle's height.
