The Normal@Line removes the GeometricTransformation wrapper generated by the frontend after rendering (right click cell > convert to InputForm) while it does nothing for the Tube case.
The funny thing is directly asking for InputForm keeps the Scale.
So this means that the frontend does processing of the input of which the kernel has no idea or am I misunderstanding the use of InputForm.
