Skew Lines
Skew Lines
In the plane, two lines either intersect or are parallel. In three dimensions there is a third possibility: nonintersecting yet nonparallel lines. A good definition is that a pair of lines is skew if the lines do not lie in the same plane. In the graphic most of the lines are likely to be skew, unless the separation is zero.
