This plot is the approximate path of the midline of the Rolling Ropes “Dragon Roll”. Besides the left-right, fore-aft, and up-down oscillating movements, the rope rotates over itself when hitting the ground in front of the body. The rope rolls in the other direction when hitting behind the body. Those “rolls” are driven by the coordinated pronation and supination of both arms while swinging the rope sideways. Watch this video from Rolling Ropes inventor David Weck to see the basic movement.
