Stellating an Icosahedron with Triangular Slabs
Stellating an Icosahedron with Triangular Slabs
Triangular slabs of diminishing size are stacked on each face of an icosahedron. Vary the area, initial thickness and number of slabs to approximate the shape of various stellations of the icosahedron and other polyhedra, for example, a great stellated dodecahedron and the Mathematica Spikey.
