Compound of Two Icosahedra

octahedron size
rotate icosahedron
Two identical icosahedra with a common center have pairs of edges perpendicular to each other at the vertices of an inner octahedron. Eight pairs of triangular faces of the compound are on the faces of the enveloping octahedron. Each vertex of the triangles divides the edge of the octahedra in the golden ratio.
