IC50 for an RTK Antibody
The half maximal inhibitory concentration () of a drug designed to inhibit a particular biological process is the drug-concentration that inhibits 50% of the process or a measure thereof.

Receptor tyrosine kinases (RTKs) are cell surface proteins that can bind extracellular "signals" (e.g., hormones, peptides, ligands) to enzymatically activate intracellular reactions regulating cell "decisions", such as survival-death and growth-quiescence.
In the context of cancer pharmacology, drugs are being designed to inhibit the activity of RTKs implicated in cancer pathogenesis.
This Demonstration serves to illustrate the influence of various parameters on the of a hypothetical RTK-inhibiting, antibody-based drug.
